He was the youngest person to receive a Washington State real estate license while in High School in March of 1979 at the age of 18.

At the age of 20 in 1981, Paul successfully passed his Washington State Broker License.

Paul financed his college education from his income from real estate sales.  He graduated from Central Washington University with a degree in business administration in 1983.

In 1984, Carlson received the prestigious G.R.I. designation (Graduate Realtor Institute) from the National Association of Realtors.

Top Sales Agent honors were awarded to Paul and he was voted Most Inspirational for his efforts while working in the highly competitive Bellevue Eastside market at Richard James Realtors in 1987.

After 10 years as a successful sales agent, Paul was promoted to Branch Manager of the main office of D.A. Duryee Real Estate, in Everett, WA in 1989.

The C.R.S. designation (Certified Residential Specialist) was awarded to Paul in 1989 from the National Realtors Institute.  Less than 5% nationally ever earn this award.

At the beginning of 1990, at age 29, Paul was selected by the President of the Duryee Group to become General Manager and Designated Broker of Snohomish County’s oldest and most respected real estate firm.

In 1992, after a successful five Company merger, Paul returned to full time sales with Seattle based, locally owned, Preview Properties.

In 1996, Paul incorporated his Real Estate sales business with a team concept and started The Carlson Group.

In 1998, Paul joined the coaching staff as a one-on-one real estate trainer of agents across the nation with the Mike Ferry Organization in Newport Beach, California.

While coaching upward of 45 agents per week on a thirty minute coaching call, Paul was able to maintain a personal production level of 75 or more homes sold per year.

In 2000, at age 40, Paul expanded his real estate investment goals, and dramatically increased the amount of leveraged purchases he made in rental property, fixers, and foreclosures. As of today, Paul has purchased over 50 properties for short-term profit or long-term investment.

In 2005, Paul began diversifying his real estate investment portfolio to include land developments, short plats, and condominium construction increasing his knowledge of construction management and building regulations. 

Now a multi-millionaire in Real Estate, Paul continues to consistently list and sell real estate with his team....
